Compressed Air Pressure Control Units ready for shipment to Singapore

More of Specialist Plant’s Pressure Control Units (PCU) are now ready to be shipped to Singapore to be fitted to Kawasaki Tunnel Boring Machines (TBMs) by Penta-Ocean Construction Co. as part of their work with the Land Transport Authority on contracts T211 and T202.

Eccles WwTW - Hyperbaric Equipment

Working on Eccles Waste Water Treatment Works, GallifordTry-Costain-Atkins JV (GCA JV) commenced their first 1200m drive, using a Lovatt 131 Tunnel Boring Machine. Through early planning, GCA JV established the need for Compressed Air, in order to allow the team an ability to change tooling on the machine and conduct any interventions that may be required.

Eccles WwTW - ø1200 dia. Mechanised Backhoe

At Eccles Waste Water Treatment Works, Johnston Trenchless Soltuions (JTS), have been tunnelling a short (25m) drive for a sewage pipeline using Specialist Plants's ø1200 dia. mechanised backhoe in shield. The machine was completely overhauled and upgraded prior to being sent to site, with JTS planning to use the Backhoe again for another 120m drive later at Eccles.
