More of Specialist Plant's Pressure Control Units (PCU) are now ready to be shipped to singapore to be fitted to Kawasaki Tunnel Boring Machines (TBMs) by Penta-Ocean Construction Co. as part of their work with the Land Transport Authority on contracts T211 and T202.

The Dual Automated PCUs will be used to control tunnel pressures during interventions and any work in the TBM face. A twin air supply is provided up to the PCU at approximately 7 bar. The PCU then has built-in adjustable controllers which dictate the pressure exiting the unit, preventing the possibility of over-pressurisation of the tunnel and potential 'blow-outs'. The unit is fully automated once set, using feedback sensors and pressure actuated valves to control the supply pressures to the working face.

Contract T211 involves the design and construction of Sin Ming Station in Singapore and all its associated tunnels, with a contract value of S$454million. T202 includes the construction of woodlands North Station and all its assocated tunnels and has a contract value of approximately S$337million.
