At Eccles Waste Water Treatment Works, Johnston Trenchless Soltuions (JTS), have been tunnelling a short (25m) drive for a sewage pipeline using Specialist Plants's ø1200 dia. mechanised backhoe in shield. The machine was completely overhauled and upgraded prior to being sent to site, with JTS planning to use the Backhoe again for another 120m drive later at Eccles.
