James Lawless is presented this month's Safety Award, by Ian Crow, for his pre-emptive precautionary measures with regards to the mezzanine stairway in the main workshop. 

James identified that with the current location of the mezzannine stairway in the workshop, it was possible for the taller members of staff to walk into the edge of the stairwell (at head/eye level) whilst using the safe walkway through the workshop. James, without prompt from management, set about fixing foam padding to the underside and the edge of the staircase to prevent a potential incident developing into something more serious.
