This month's Safety Award, a £100 voucher, was given to Matthew Lawless for his observation on live test cables running through the workshop.

Matthew noticed that live test cables were running through the workshop doors while testing plant and machinery on one side of the workshop.  He noted that due to where the cables ran from in the workshop, they were an obstruction on the workshop floor as well as through the main access and egress to the yard from the workshop. 

As a result, Matthew spoke to management and suggested some good alternative ways which the cabling could be re-routed without obstructing walkways or doorways. 

Ian Crow at Specialist Plant presented the Safety Award.
