Rail Tunnel Repairs

Ventilation equipment for all works carried out in any size or length of railway tunnel. Specialist Plant has built up a wealth of experience on new construction and repair works.

Engineers examine the existing tunnel ventilation conditions and the work cycles proposed during repair/construction works. From this assessment a recommendation is submitted for discussion. Solutions may use ducted fresh air or extraction of fumes and dust, or generate a through flow of air in the main tunnel air-body. We carry a large stock of fans – up to 1.6 metres in diameter, 60 kilowatts in power. Our site experience allows us to keep in touch with customers, assess the project as it progresses and monitor air flows and atmospheric conditions.


We also supply and install complete pipe work systems for air, water supply, water pumping, and concreting. Work carried out includes:
